Our first morning was spent exploring the City. We roamed endlessly in and out of tiny streets stumbling upon timeless shops and little villages, market stores and old churches whilst eating ice cream which is out of this world.
In the afternoon we took a 45minute boat ride across to the Isle of Capriwhich again is indescribable beauty and splendour.
Once again we found ourselves eating ice cream, aimlessly wandering the streets and villages. Capri is in a class of its own and the people that live there dwell in the most extraordinary place. The cliffs are lined with villas and tiny roads that lead right to the top. We went to the top by bus treated to breathtaking views and wonder. Looking over the Med we saw boats drifting on the water as far as the eye can see.

Arriving back in Sorrento at dusk we had to climb up a steep hill to get back to our campsite and we were treated to the sun setting over the Med and the views of fishing boats and sailing boats drifting into the deep blue sea with lights twinkling made it timeless and captivating. We also experienced Sorrento village by night which seemed to come alive as in a fairy world story book. An experience we missed was The Amalfi coast which I highly recommend after researching the area it looks like we missed a part of Italy even more beautiful then SorrentoAfter leaving Sorrento we stopped in Pompeii for the day.
